Today started off kinda slow. I couldn’t get my hair to behave and then I couldn’t find my damn keys. I ended up being 2 minutes late for work. Fortunately, things a re a little more relaxed here, thank goodness.
My morning was a bit messed up thanks to the ‘fire drill’. That is code for drug dogs are visiting. (of course everybody knows that already so technically is it really a ‘code’.)
I got to do the walk through with a four year old trained drug sniffer. (Beautiful dog too.) Hagar is a very smart dog, trained in three months. He can pick up the scent of any illegal substance, bombs, and guns. I wish I could take a picture of him, but oh well.
After the search I got to participate in a demonstration. A tiny silver air and water tight canister was hid by yours truly. So, I didn’t technically get to touch the substance but I still felt the intense desire to wash my hands afterward. LOL Both dogs picked up the scent so quickly. It was amazing to watch their behaviors when they had found the scent.
It was quite an experience, that’s for sure. Now, however, it is time to get back to work. 🙂
Cheers, Michala
