Looking Forward

I’ve spent a great deal of time thinking about the goals I want for 2018. I’ve confirmed the spaghetti plate of chaos because my goals are all over the place.

Health: I definitely need to focus on my physical health. In 2017 I found myself turning away from most meat and think I’ll continue this track for 2018. I’m not going vegetarian but I’d say mostly veggies and fruits for me is the best route and my body seems to agree. Planet fitness will continue to get my money in 2018. I just need to commit to making a bigger effort of showing my face there.

Work/Career: I absolutely love my work as a family Intervention Specialist. This year however I’m hoping to get the promotion into supervisor position and I feel strongly that I’ll reach that goal. For right now, it’s a waiting game. My biggest goal is to pass my exam and become a LMCA and begin my clinical supervision.

Family/Home: major renovation will be taking place during 2018. I’m focusing on one room at a time but by the end of the year I’m hoping to have a completely beautified home. I quit my part time job so I could focus more on my family and home life. With my oldest going away for college this year, I want to utilize all the time I have available before she leaves Home.

Writing: I’ve certainly struggled in this area for a number of years now. My biggest goals are in this department but they are also my hardest goals. I want to complete my fantasy series with my co-writer who has been so extremely patient with me. I need to find my muse!!!! I also have decided on a pen name and will focus on working in some new genres. This will be kept under wraps until I get the ball rolling. I’d like to have three novels under the new name completed this year. Hefty goal for someone who struggles to find her muse. We shall see. I want to give more love to my site here and commit to doing two articles a week. One personal and one professional. I’d love to find a third, but again, we shall see.

2017 is dead and gone, and I’m happy for that. I want to read more books. I want to write more. I want to live more fully. Those are my goals. What are yours????
