Ask Me…What 3 Songs 5/19/18

Good Evening/Morning Folks,

So…what’s on your playlist? I like to share mine in hopes of lighting a fire within you viewers but also per chance to introduce you to something new. So here goes…

Mambo No. 5 by Lou Bega

Ladies and gentleman, this is mambo number five
One, two, three, four, five everybody in the car, so come on
Let’s ride to the liquor store around the corner
The boys say they want some gin and juice
But I really don’t wanna, beer bust like I had last week
I must stay deep because talk is cheap

Bega started singing at the age of 11. This song became big in 1999. I absolutely loved it! Although he had multiple albums after this first, none did quite as well, and that’s putting it nicely. I don’t know why, I just love bopping along to it. What do you think? 🙂

Four Tops-I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)

Sugar pie, honey bunch
You know that I love you
I can’t help myself
I love you and nobody else
In and out my life
You come and you go
Leaving just your picture behind
And I kissed it a thousand times
When you snap your finger or wink your eye
I come a-running to you

Just a good ol’ 1960’s song that I can’t turn off when it starts playing. It’s such a beloved song, many various artists have sang it. Who do you think sings it best?

You Make My Dreams by Daryl Hall & John Oats

What I’ve got’s full stock of thoughts and dreams that scatter
You pull them all together
And how, I can’t explain
Oh yeah, well well you
You make my dreams come true
Well well you, oh yeah
You make my dreams come true

This toe-tapping song is one that can be that one that gets stuck in your head for hours. (IMHO). I think I like it because my mom loved it so much. I was only 2 when this song came out, but it’s definitely on my playlist. According to Wiki, at least 145,000 other people liked this song in 2008 and 2009. Good to know I’m not alone.
