Looking Back and Forging Ahead

I want to make the year 2020 HUGE! Of course, don’t we all want to see differences each year? Lose weight, quit bad habits, exercise more, spend more time with family, find a new career. The list goes on and on. I’m obviously no different.

2019 for me was not anything outrageous or incredible. As I look back over my year, it honestly was kind of Blah. I didn’t do anything with my creative side. Sure, I picked at this story and nibbled on that idea. I did increase my list of story ideas. They are certainly percolating. I’ve got a few strong book ideas that I see coming to fruition. Will it be in 2020? I’m not sure, but at least they are there. I have a solid well to pull from.

I also stepped down from my supervisor position. (I’m a professional counselor/crisis intervention specialist.) I didn’t mind being a supervisor, but I truly missed working one on one with families. I’ve been back in the field since May and I haven’t regretted it once.

I also organized my life a bit by FINALLY buying an Ipad (with pencil) and, boy oh boy, has it been so much nicer. I don’t carry around notebooks all the time anymore, for work or for play, and my purse/bag thanks me, my back thanks me, and my husband thanks me since he’s no longer finding pens, papers, notebooks, notes, ect everywhere all over my house. Goodnotes has become my new best friend!!! I’m eager to learn even more ways to utilize my Ipad!

Truly, there’s nothing really else I can think of that falls under the category of change. There are a LOT of things I DIDN’T do this year. HA! Why don’t we NOT dwell on those things. Instead, let’s forge ahead and see what 2020 will look like (HOPEFULLY!!!)

I’m pushing book releases big time this year. I have a new book coming out each month from January through June. These are all books that are complete and just waiting for editing to be finalized.

I am going to dive back into the creative writing of new material. I have one stand-alone novel and one series that I’ve been sitting on for quite some time. So, in between all the editing and publishing of new books, I will be dipping my little ol’ feet in the murky waters and drown myself with words!
